Savannah Curtis

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Biomathematics program working in the Lanzas Lab. My current research is on C. difficile infection (CDI) in healthcare settings. We are using a stochastic network model and hospital data with random cohort testing to quantify the number of new hospital-acquired CDI cases arising due to asymptomatic carriers of C. difficile. My past research has ranged from within-host immune modeling of novel treatments for HIV to social-behavioral modeling of opioid use to detect spatial patterns of overdose events. Prior to this, I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Jacksonville University.
