I am an evolutionary biologist and ecologist interested in the evolutionary patterns and external drivers that shape the transmission dynamics of pathogens with a health-related significance. My current research focuses on the analysis of eco-evolutionary scientific questions, with an impact on one health such as the evolution of antibiotic resistance, or the prediction of pathogen outbreaks which I aim to answer by employing a range of technical approaches to test and advance both theoretical and applied knowledge, via the combination of bioinformatics, phylogenetics, and ecological models.
